Catching Up!!!

Wow, where has the time gone! Dave, Sawyer and I took a little road trip this fall. Started our trip in Virginia Beach for a weekend where we saw the National Sand Castle building contest. From there we went to John and Carol's for a few days and then on to Asheville to see my old buddy Sara and her family. Spent some time exploring the Biltmore Estate - gorgeous place!

Girls Trip to Miami

Last week I was lucky enough to have taken a trip to Miami with some special girls... Shelly, Darci and I enjoyed 4 days ( well 2 were travel days ) of absolute relaxation and girl time. These pictures don't do justice to the gorgeous place we stayed or the amazing evenings out we had! I did miss Sawyer and Dave but this trip was just what the Dr. ordered :))

We had a great time together. We made some wonderful memories, ate some delicious food, had great late night chats, enjoyed the ocean....most of all...it was all girl time! Oh and I don't have a picture but we had a black, Sebring Convertible...that was really fun for sure.

Spring is going by so quickly! We have made some really great memories in the past month so I'll share them with you!

This year we had most of Sawyer's little friends over for an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had so much fun playing together and finding their eggs. They each made a Bunny Bag to collect their eggs in and then headed out for some egg hunting:) Good times and Great Memories.

Dave mowed the lawn for the first time this spring and Sawyer was VERY excited about it. He got his little mower out and followed Daddy all around the yard! I think he walked several miles that night!

Disney World 2010

We took a quick vacation to Orlando at the end of March. Sawyer loved everything about Sea World and Magic Kingdom. He still talks about our trip and wants to go back again! We met up with my sister and her friend Noelle ( who has 3 boys) and my Mom joined us too!

December 2009

We baked Christmas cookies this year with Sawyer.

I was lucky enough to get a little weekend getaway in with the girls.

Lake Placid was our destination and we enjoyed ourselves so much.

We enjoyed a weekend of sledding and fun with the Degroots in New Hampshire.

Had Brad and Clarissa over for dinner. Gave our boys a bath together and then snuggled them up in matching PJ's.

As you can see we have made some wonderful memories the past few months.

Sawyer continues to be the light of our life. He fills our days with love and laughter and busyness. :) He is talking a mile a minute now and I love that we can understand his wants and needs so much better.

Winter Fun!!

Winter is here!! Dave and I took Sawyer to see the holiday lights in Washington Park this past weekend. We took a horse drawn carriage ride through the park and looked at all the lights. It was a gorgeous snowy evening so we totally enjoyed ourselves. Sawyer loved the lights and the horses even more.

Thanksgiving 2009

We can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is right around the corner.

We enjoyed having John, Carol, Jana, Jason and Amy Zal with us for a week at Thanksgiving. Sawyer absolutely loves his cousins. He misses them terribly!

Sawyer continues to amaze us everyday with the things he has to say. It's hard to believe that our little 2 year old can talk in complete sentences. He is the light of our lives for sure.

Virginia Beach July 2009

We spent a week at Virginia Beach with Dave's parents and brothers family. We all had a great time together and Sawyer loved playing with his cousins. The weather was really great this year so we were able to spend most of every day on the beach.

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Memorial Day weekend was all about friends and our little family this year. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it. We started the weekend off in New Hampshire with The Degroots, then spent the rest of the weekend back home with our family having lots of fun.

More Spring 2009

This has been a fun filled spring. The weather has finally turned nice and we are enjoying our days outside.

Sawyer is talking so much these days. He learns a new word almost every day. He loves to chatter to himself or to anyone who will listen. He likes to spend time with his friends.

The next couple of pictures are from a "Ladies Lunch" that Julie hosted.

Spring is finally here!!!

We are so glad that spring has finally come to "the woods." Sawyer is happiest when we are outside playing so we spend as much time exploring as we can. It's been busy these past few weeks. Easter came and went, we were excited to meet Brad and Clarissa's sweet new baby boy- Graham William-, the go cart races are finally over and our weekend of hanging out with "the gang" has come and gone.

A Day at the Park

We had some gorgeous weather a week ago and spent Saturday at the park with Sawyer. He is a very busy little boy so running around at the park is fantastic! Of course this means that mommy and daddy are running around the park as well but this is good for us too!!

Babies past, present & future!

The past few weeks have been all about babies. We snuggled with Landon, welcomed Grant Albert Knaggs, Gavin Cooper Knaggs, had a baby shower for baby Pikcilingis and enjoyed our "baby" who really isn't a baby anymore. I don't know where the time is going but Sawyer is changing so quickly. He is still a happy little guy who is constantly into mischief. He keeps us on our toes.

Wow, as you can see, it's been a very busy month or so here. Everyone is looking forward to spring and the warm weather that follows. Sawyer loves to be outside but this winter has been so cold and windy we haven't spent much time outdoors. It will be great to enjoy the sunshine soon.

The painting in Sawyer's room is all done now and I can't wait to finish decorating. We are in the process of re-doing and moving Sawyer into a new room. His room is going to have a rustic, Adirondack theme so the paintings really add to that feel. We love the way it turned out.

We spent the weekend in Lake George at the Great Escape Indoor Water Park. While it was freezing outside, we enjoyed a warm day inside with friends.

Sawyer went sledding today with daddy and loved it. The wind was blowing, it was freezing cold, and he had a big grin on his face the whole time. Guess we'll be bundling up more often.

We spent Christmas and New Year's in Michigan with Sandy's family. Sawyer had a great time playing with all his cousins. We don't get to see everybody there too often so we made the most of our time together.

We went to a Holiday Party at Laura and Brian's over the weekend. I didn't get too many pictures because we were chasing Sawyer most of the night. Brian made a delicious meal and dessert as usual.

Our Big Night Out

Dave and I had a night out on Friday. Normally, this would not be worth mentioning but Sawyer stayed at Brad and Clarissa's for the night and we haven't left Sawyer overnight in over a year. He had a great time there and we had a wonderful night out. We went to The Melting Pot for dinner Friday. Saturday we had a shopping day together.

This was probably the only time he was still!

Sawyer learned a few things while we were away.

Sawyer wasn't on his best behavior the entire time.

Sunday, November 30th was Emma McCoy's 1st Birthday. We can hardly believe it was a year ago that we held this little peanut for the first time. She is so, so, so sweet. We love that Emma and Sawyer are close in age. They'll be buddies for life!!
